Abstract

The application of laser Raman spectroscopy to membrane structure analysis was initiated at the beginning of the nineteen seventies. Since then this approach has expanded into a diversity of areas, including studies on the organisation of lipids at different low temperatures, thermal transitions in biomembranes and lipid-sterol interactions.
