Abstract
The observation on the decrease in dopamine(Ehringer and Hornykiewicz, 1960) and in aromatic L-amino acid decarboxylase activity with DOPA as a substrate (DOPA decarboxylase activity) (Lloyd and Hornykiewicz, 1970) in the dopaminergic regions of the parkinsonian brain indicated the disturbance in dopamine biosynthesis.
