Abstract

From W. R. Titterton, So this is Shaw (London: Douglas Organ, 1945) pp. 9–11, 13. William Richard Titterton (1876–1963), theatre critic, music-hall singer and author, became a regular publisher of ‘interviews’ with Shaw. His particular recollections of Shaw as a speaker probably belong to the mid-1890s, though his composite impressions cover a wider time-span.
