Abstract
Marrying a distinguished professor in Allahabad University in the late eighties, I went to India as a bride. My domestic experiences and social life were recorded in letters I wrote to my friends and my college paper. Chief among my pleasurable recollections is the friendship my husband and I formed with the rising young author, Rudyard Kipling.
