Abstract
Under the heading ‘near-death experiences’ I include two rather different sorts of data: first reports from people who have been resuscitated from a close encounter with death; and secondly reports collected from doctors and nurses about the death-bed experiences of some of their patients. Let us start by examining what it is that resuscitated persons claim to remember.
