Karl Ziegler and the Max Planck Institute

  • Chapter
The Chain Straighteners

Abstract

It is often interesting, and sometimes instructive, to trace a distinguished career back to its beginnings-to spot the decisive event, the occasion when Destiny said clearly, ‘come this way!’ By Karl Ziegler’s own account, this turning point came very early for him.

My only motivation has always been just to do what was fun.
