Abstract
Three crucial questions could legitimately be asked with regard to an extension of the principle of labour self-management to private capitalist economy: (1) Why should one argue that privately owned means of production be managed by labour rather than by capital? (2) Why strip the owners of their right to manage and control their means of production? (3) Could such a concept ever be reconciled with the principles of liberalism?
