Abstract
I am going to keep a journal because I cannot accept the fact that I feel so shattered that I cannot write at all. Today I read in the paper a story by Seymour Hicks of a request he gave to Wilde after his imprisonment, to write a play. Wilde said: ‘I will write a wonderful play with wonderful lines and wonderful dialogue.’ As he said this, Hicks realized that Wilde would never write again.
