The implications for air power of developments in aircraft and weapons technology are very wide and far-reaching and in the brief time available it will only be possible to review some of the important considerations somewhat superficially and to illustrate them with examples. In his paper, Sir Frederick Rosier has looked at implications emphasising the operational viewpoint and, in order to avoid duplication, I will consider some of the implications from the point of view of the weapon designer.
