The Implications for Air Power of Developments in Aircraft and Weapon Technology (I): The Operational View

  • Sir Frederick Rosier

My first reaction to the invitation to speak at this symposium was to organise a series of meetings with experts in such fields as avionics, optics and guided weapons, and to pay rather more attention than usual to articles on defence and technology—all with the aim of gaining more knowledge of technological advances which I could somehow relate to air power in the future. It was a profitable exercise and I am most grateful to all those who responded so enthusiastically and spoke so openly.
