Abstract

This chapter introduces the simple RC integrator and differentiator circuits, and investigates the effects of varying the resistor and capacitor values on the outputs. Simple circuits are also described using the RC combinations, these being carried forward to the next chapter on oscillator circuits, where multivibrator action depends on the charging of a capacitor through a resistor. Although a small amount of theory is given in this chapter, a practical understanding is encouraged through the use of laboratory experiments where the results given in this chapter may be verified.
