Abstract

Regardless of the type of product under consideration, there are certain factors which affect the product appearance. Domestic appliances, cutlery, clothes, furniture and cars all require the skill and flair of the trained designer, to meet the need for order, variety, proportion and symmetry in the finished article. It is necessary therefore, to understand the meaning of these terms.
