Abstract

The state of Spanish agriculture has long been the target of protagonists of reform in Spain. This continues to be true today, although criticisms of contemporary agricultural conditions and policies have gradually shifted in emphasis. Few people now believe that significant improvements could be brought about simply by a redistribution of land. Emphasis is increasingly on improving the use and the yield of the land.
