Abstract

Legally, a car is required to have two white lights showing forward, two red lights showing to the rear, the rear number plate illuminated, and two red reflectors showing to the rear. The size, position, spacing and wattage of these lamps vary from country to country so that the car lighting is designed to comply with all legal requirements with a standard system, or with minor modifications.
