Abstract

We close this book with a number of passages from Marx and Engels which together provide a restatement of its major arguments. The quotations fall into three groups. The first set indicate why production is central to historical materialism, what it is, and how to study it. The second set relate class, division of labour, and State-form in capitalism. The third set discuss socialist construction.
