Abstract
An extraordinary situation has developed in connection with the proposed tour of the Abbey Theatre Company in the United States. Negotiations for the tour have been in process almost continuously since May of last year, and in deference to the declared desires of Dublin playgoers no tour was undertaken during the present theatrical season. It was decided, however, to undertake a tour of the principal cities of the United States in the 1934–5 season and a contract to that effect was duly completed.
