Abstract

The balancing or equalisation of electrostatic charges will cause considerable damage where the equalisation can take place in an unhindered way and, moreover, the products or working conditions themselves are susceptible to interferences. An ignition by static discharging can be caused only if there are specific conditions favouring such ignition. The best protection, therefore, is to avoid from the very start an accumulation of explosive mixtures or easily ignited working or production conditions.
