Abstract
The action of swinging a club in golf is a two-arm underhand striking pattern. It is believed that this classification is defensible because the left arm (for a righthanded golfer) moves from a horizontal position parallel with the trunk axis at impact (Cooper and Glassow, 1972). The sequence of joint movements consists of forward action of the left knee, hip rotation, spinal rotation, shoulder action, and, finally, wrist and hand action.
