  • R. W. Vickerman
Part of the Studies in Planning and Control book series (STUP)

Before developing more specific models of the demand for leisure activities and leisure travel in subsequent chapters it is desirable to establish the overall framework within which these analyses can be more satisfactorily developed. This chapter has three main themes: the establishing of an objective or aim of the analysis, the similarities and differences of leisure activities and leisure projects from others for which such analyses have been developed, and the development of a rational framework for the economic appraisal of leisure projects.
