Haemodialysis Technique

  • Chapter
The Renal Unit

Abstract

This chapter is an outline of how to carry out a haemodialysis. Detailed methods vary with the equipment employed and the custom of the renal unit in which the nurse is working. We cannot cover all the permutations of equipment and niceties of styles, but in outlining the principles of the use of the equipment and of the care of the patient we hope to provide a helpful introduction.
