Planning and Financing Maintenance Work

  • Chapter
Building Maintenance

Abstract

Planning, budgeting and controlling the cost of maintenance work are essential operations if buildings are to be maintained effectively within available funds. This leads automatically to regular inspections and the implementation of programmes of planned maintenance. These activities need to be backed up with adequate data and particularly a full awareness of maintenance and operating costs.
