Abstract
In this chapter a brief review of each phase of industrial and regional policy in the United Kingdom under the Macmillan, Douglas-Home, Wilson and Heath governments, concentrating on the period 1959–73, is followed by more detailed description of the various industrial support measures. These last are classified under the following headings:
