Abstract

The quantity of electricity used increases every year, and doubles about every ten years. The corresponding increase in factory and commercial wiring has brought the need for all types of cable trunking — that in the basic form consists of a simple sheet steel box, two to three metres in length — to have a screw or snap-on removable lid (figure 7.1). Finishes are stove enamelled, zinc coated, galvanised or left unpainted.
