Summary

A computer aid to N.C. programming is described which allows N.C. control tapes to be produced on a Teletype connected through the normal telephone network to a time-sharing computer. The computer is used in a conversational manner in which control is affected by YES or NO answers to simple questions. Errors made by the programmer are detected by the computer which replies with an explanatory diagnostic and allows the programmer to correct his mistake. Simplified file handling is included together with versatile editing facilities. Examples of typical costs are given.
