Abstract
The increasing attention being paid to environmental conditions in industry means that the machine tool builder will have to give even greater heed to the control of noise. Research into noise control has now developed to a point where levels of acceptable exposure can be defined accurately and so engineering capability in noise control must be acquired to meet the requirements of these exposure limits.
