Prediction of Dynamic Cutting Coefficients from Steady-State Cutting Data

  • Chapter

Summary

An analytical method is presented with which the dynamic cutting coefficients can be derived from steady state cutting data. The technique is used for predicting the experimental results of previous investigators, covering wave cutting and removing tests as well as two actual stability charts, and good correspondence is noted.
