Abstract
This process is equivalent to finding the area ‘under’ a curve y = f(x) between given ordinates, by calculation of a series of ordinates at inter-vals throughout the range; e.g. to find by dividing the range 0 to a of x into a number of parts, usually 2n of width h so that a = 2nh.
