Abstract

There is no possibility of receiving an electrical shock from the normal 12 V motor car electrical system. The only exception is the high tension ignition system, and, if for example you touched the bare end of a spark plug lead whilst the engine was running, it would probably cause you to jump. However, beware of sparks or overloaded cables which could cause a fire.
