Abstract
Jacqueline is a shorthand-typist in the County Children’s Department. The Department is divided into three sections: the Administration, Care and Staffing Units. As she is the senior shorthand-typist, Jacqueline works for the three section heads and delegates work to other girls when it is necessary.
