Abstract

The use of injection moulding is well known and therefore it is only intended to deal briefly with the characteristics of the process here. Its products are many and varied, typical applications being housewares, crates, tote boxes, closures, automotive and marine components, toys, machine parts, etc. The high costs of the moulds limits the process to components requiring relatively long production runs.
