Abstract

There are many different types of semiconductors available on the market and used in a multitude of applications. It is difficult to state categorically what constitutes a general purpose device but these devices have been selected as being most commonly used: bipolar transistors, small signal diodes and zener diodes. Since technology is advancing so rapidly it is now necessary to include integrated circuits of both digital and linear types.
