Abstract
Civil War between Soviet Communists and White Russian forces, with intervention by outside powers on behalf of the anti-Communists. The first landing of British forces took place at Murmansk in June 18, and further French and British troops landed at Archangel in Aug 18; Japan and the United States also sent troops. The Civil War effectively ended when White Russian forces under General Wrangel evacuated the Crimea in Nov 20.
