Abstract

A common feature of the Western economies in the post-war period has been the experience of a moderate and sustained (though varying) rate of increase in overall price and wage levels. This widespread and persistent phenomenon has been aptly labelled ‘creeping inflation’, and it is this phenomenon — mainly on the wages side — with which this book is concerned.
