Functions of More Than One Variable

Abstract

We shall first consider functions of two variables or, more precisely, real valued functions of ordered pairs of real variables. Such a function will be denoted by f(x,y) — with argument (x,y) — or by Ø(λ,µ) — with argument (λ,µ) and so on.
