Abstract

Thermoplastic sheeting is one of the major basic material forms upon which the plastics industry has built up its every increasing potential over the past several decades. The very earliest practical thermoplastic sheeting materials available were gutta percha and subsequently celluloid, and from the knowledge that such materials could be heated, softened, shaped and reshaped, there has developed a comprehensive and sophisticated range of thermoplastic sheeting materials to cover a very wide range of applications and service conditions.
