Abstract

The topic to be discussed in the first four sessions of this Round Table is the mutual repercussions between the economic policies of North America and Western Europe. The organisers of the meeting have rightly split up this general subject into four symmetrical parts, so that the paper which follows is concerned with the repercussions of the economic policy of the United States on the economic policies of the countries of the European Economic Community (E.E.C.). But this subject itself is further subdivided into six questions. These are not of equal scope and they cannot all be discussed in a few pages.
