Abstract

An adaptation of I Knock at the Door designed for a concert reading by six voices was prepared by Paul Shyre. It was first presented at the YM-YWHA Poetry Center (Kaufmann Concert Hall), New York, on March 18, 1956 directed by Stuart Vaughan. The same production was presented at the Belasco Theatre, New York, on September 29, 1957. The adaptation in two acts was published by Dramatists Play Service on July 2, 1958 at $1.50.
