Abstract
The British read more newspapers than anyone else. But hardly any other country has newspapers with such vast circulations as ours. Somewhere approaching 5,000,000 copies of the Daily Mirror are sold every day and about 4,000,000 of the Daily Express. And every copy is read by — how many people? On Sundays the News of the World goes into more than 6,000,000 homes.
