Abstract

Electronic computers have been mentioned briefly in the preceding chapters, but not to any great extent. The lack of emphasis was deliberate, because the fundamental principles of network analysis do not depend upon the means of computation. A computer does not alter the problem—it can only help to solve it more quickly or more cheaply in appropriate circumstances.
