Abstract

The municipal engineer is very much concerned with building and civil engineering constructional methods, as they form an important part of much of the work for which he is responsible. He is often required to design and supervise the constructional work, but in some cases he may be responsible, with the assistance of building inspectors or surveyors, for checking and approving the designs submitted by others under building regulations.
