Abstract
The management of a publishing house of a weekly journal has decided to re-examine its policy with regard to supplying retailers. The journal is classed as a perishable commodity, i.e. previous issues lose all their value when a new issue is published on Thursday, but maintain their full value from Thursday to Wednesday. Thus, the retailers start with a fresh stock every week and sell only one issue of the journal at a time.
