The Campaign for Democratic Socialism (hereafter referred to as CDS) has a unique place in the history of the Labour Right. It remains to this day the only organisation set up within the Party by revisionists with political power as its ultimate goal. It also attempted to influence political thinking by propagating views that were distinctively revisionist, but its importance, however, lies in its organisational activities; CDS was active at constituency level, in trade union branches and in the PLP.
