The Take-Off in Japan, 1868–1900
Since I am not quite yet ready to share with Rostow his stages-ofgrowth theory in its entirety, it is proposed to discuss at the outset my own interpretation of what Rostow essentially appears to mean by the expression of ‘take-off’.
