Abstract
In the following sections various recorded practical applications have been collected together. They illustrate either a new area of application or the use of some refinement in the standard method. Each has required the restrictions imposed on a problem to be carefully defined and quantified. In most examples it has been necessary to make approximations, some of which are described. Every problem is an idealised form of the real life situation and, as such, can only give part of the answer to the real problem.
