Abstract

By the term deep therapy is understood the treatment with X-rays of lesions deep in the body, which are usually separated from the surface by a non-diseased layer of tissue. It makes no difference whether this layer is thick or thin. Thus, deep X-ray therapy in its broadest sense is concerned with all subcutaneous lesions, whether located directly beneath the healthy skin or in the deepest parts of the body.
