Abstract

As we have seen in section XII–2, for the visual measurement of other quantities than luminance, these must be converted to luminance. The manner in which this is done, however, will be only an incidental point in our discussion. In this section we will deal with photometers in the limited sense of the word, viz. those parts of the system by means of which the comparison and adjustment of the luminances are effected.
