Abstract

Thorough analysis of police investigative interviews, detailed court transcripts and other documents have resulted in an overview of persons, objects and events that potentially could represent attractive targets for Anders Behring Breivik. These are categorized into four levels. Most importantly this chapter illustrates what the perpetrator did not choose to prioritize, and the reasons for these are illuminated. For Breivik, symbolism, shock effect and maximum attention was paramount.
