Abstract
Flying back to the United States on one of many trips to China, I struck up a conversation with the person sitting next to me. As we shared each other’s experiences, the subject of shipping equipment became the topic of conversation. Although a Westerner, he was living in China at this time in his life and was aware of many companies that had decided to ship equipment to China without first investigating the procedures. They ended up losing the equipment or having to buy it back. This chapter provides all the necessary details readers will need to know so that they can successfully export their equipment to China.
