Abstract

This chapter, as with others in this book, considers and empirically tests a range of competing explanations of the bases of public support for European integration. But it does so in the particular context of the Baltic States, whose recent histories, national composition, and geographical location suggest the possibility that a distinctive set of factors may be at play shaping attitudes and political mobilization on European issues.
