The Way To Eat a Meal
Stubbornness and self-absorption are great enemies of mankind. To refuse to acknowledge something good, and not to ponder its harms and benefits simply on account of stubbornness is not mankind’s work. At present, we are neither concerned with eating seated on chairs at a table with knives and forks like the English, nor do we crave to imitate the Turkish. Instead, we want to think very straightforwardly about the way to eat, and discuss to what extent its distasteful aspects can be removed without changing its basic nature.
